Specifications
Normogut® Tablet: Each tblet contains Domperidone Maleate BP equivalent to 10 mg Domperidone. Normogut® Suspension: Each 5 ml suspension contains Domperidone BP 5 mg.
- Stimulgut motility in -Non-ulcer dyspepsia -Esophageal reflux, reflux esophagitis and gastritis -Diabetic gation of astroparesis -Functional dyspepsia -Speeding barium transit in follow through radiological studies.
- Prevention and symptomatic relief of acute nausea and vomiting from any cause including cytotoxic therapy, radio therapy and anti-parkinsonism therapy.
- In the prophylactic treatment of migraine.
The recommended oral dose for Adult: 10-20 mg every 4-8 hours daily. Children: 0.2-0.4 mg/kg every 4-8 hours daily. Note: Domperidone should be taken 15-30 minutes before a meal. For acute vomiting and nausea, maximum period of treatment is 12 weeks. Use in children is restricted to nausea and vomiting following cytotoxics or radiotherapy.
